Anti-Trawling Device.

 

The Technostrat ATD has been designed to protect inshore municipal fisheries from unlawful trawling activities.

The ATD has been designed to be transported by relatively small vessels and assembled on the seabed.

The units are 3 meters long and are strung out across the trawl approach paths. Each unit is attached to the next by 10 meters of chain. The revolving net cutters align themselves to exert maximum cutting effect. Each unit weighs 1 ton (1000 kgs).

They are the ultimate deterrent as they not only destroy the trawl nets but they also release any catch.
